These terms (with all the links and documents referred to) describe to you the terms of use on which you may choose to make use of our web sites. It contains supplementary information and should be adhered to in addition to any other terms and conditions that you have agreed to in connection with your use of our website or our services. By using our site, you indicate that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, do not use our site.

Lowreg Privacy Service for UK Domains and NEW Nominet opt in

If you have added Lowreg Privacy to your domain you also agreed to the terms set out at www.lowregprivacy.co.uk . We no longer sell domain privacy as Nominet the UK domain registry now automatically removes the registrant data. If you are a customer who has a domain registered with Lowreg and wishes for your registrant data to be shown, please open a support ticket within your control panel stating which domains you wish to opt in to the whois.

Customer Service Level Commitment

Please contact LOWREG using one of the contact methods at the bottom of this page, outside of office hours please email us at support@lowreg.co.uk . We will to respond to all points of contact within 1 business day and aim to resolve any issues you have within 5 business days.

Expired Domains Policy

We will send out reminder emails 90 days, 60 days and 30 days prior to the expiry date along with 2 reminders at 25 and 50 days post expiry. We will send the emails to the email address on the account, it is the registrants responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date. LOWREG take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect or indeed if they are correct and you have not checked to see if the renewal was successful. If you do not wish to renew a domain please make sure you contact us a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires by emailing us at support@lowreg.co.uk . If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date it may have all services we provide suspended. After 30 days your domain will be suspended by nominet and any email or web site will cease to work. Anyone wishing to move a domain away from Lowreg can do so from their control panel or by asking their domain manager to do this, you can release your domain to any TAG or use the Nominet domain transfer service. www.nominet.uk By continuing to use LowReg.co.uk you agree to these terms and will not hold Hwyl Ltd liable for any losses occured by not renewing domains and acting against the terms you have agreed to here.

Glue records and registrant modifications

Lowreg will if asked through the ticketing system transfer the registrant to the registrant of your choice free of charge, TAG changes are free and you are able to complete those from within your lowreg panel as detailed elsewhere. When a customer requires a glue record adding we can do this subject to the correct details being submitted, glue record changes cost TEN POUNDS per time, if you are unsure in any way, please do not submit a request for a glue records change on any UK domain name. No second glue record will be added to the same domain within 60 days of the last change, Lowreg accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss of service you may suffer and any resulting losses.

Termination of Account at LowReg

From time to time LowReg will communicate with customers and offer help, guidance and where necessary instruction of how best to use LowReg and aid us in offering a fair system to everyone. Should Lowreg find it necessary to ask a customer to leave and find a new registrar, we will give you 7 days and with your permission release all of your domains to your new registrars TAG free of charge.

Your obligation when selling or transferring a domain from LowReg

If you are selling or transferring a domain that you manage from your LowReg account, you agree to check that the TAG has changed to the customers new registrar TAG, you can do this by carrying out a whois check at http://www.nominet.uk/whois/ and advising your buyer to make sure they add the correct TAG when completing a transfer. You can of course ask your buyer which regsitrar they are moving to and from witin your LowReg account, go to the domain and select tag release domain, anter the registrar TAG and it will be released to your customers registrar and be deleted from your account. This will allow LowReg to stop the auto generation of invoices and save time and disruption when the buyer tries to manage the domain and finds they cannot.


Any discounted promotional fitst registration rate will always renew at the standard price, Prices are currently £ 5.99 per year for new registrations and £6.99 for renewals. By utilising one or more offers via a discount code you agree that any domain used with hosting will not have passed its expiry date. Any hosting accounts created with domains that have passed their expiry date will be terminated. As with our terms here, no adult sites or sites that infringe on another parties copyright are permitted. All hosting must have an associated domain on the LOWREG tag and its nameservers set to ns1.lowreg.co.uk and ns2.lowreg.co.uk for older accounts and ns1.lowreg.com ns2.lowreg.com ns3.lowreg.com ns4.lowreg.com for hosting accounts created after 12th Ocober 2019. Please be aware that we do not allow pornographic content of any nature or images, text or videos that contain adult, violent or harassment themes. Hosting space is for active web sites and email, hosting accounts are not to be used for data backups from home, business or any other device or place. MySql space is limited to 1gb per account. Hosting accounts are for the use of the account holder. Email accounts use the combined space allocated to any hosting package. Email accounts are not allowed to be resold on any offer based or commercial basis, eg you sell email addresses and provide email boxes.

Domain Registration and Domains for Hosting Rules

You will at all times have a contact email address on file and will whitelist/safelist the email info@lowreg.co.uk to receive important registrar communications. By registering, transferring or hosting a domain with LowReg you agree that the domain and the content of any web site does not contain any word, phrase or implication that may be deemed as explicit or an implication to a service that is illegal. We understand that intent has a huge part to play in determining what is illegal or offensive by implication, so LowReg reserves the right to release any domain it finds unsuitable to the domain registry at Nominet and will remain untagged until such a time the owner signs in to nominet and assigns a new TAG. Adult domains including the use of the words escort in relation to a geographic location are strictly prohibited. Should you have any concerns about any domain you see registered to the LOWREG tag please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can also contact us to check if a domain is suitable if you are in any doubt. Should we have accepted any domain onto our system in error we will contact the registrant with the details provided and ask for the domain to be released to an alternative TAG, we reserve the right to immediately remove any domain we deem to be in breach of our terms. Should a domain be deemed illegal or a web site hosted by LowReg found to be acting illegally we will inform the relevant authorities.

Intellectual property rights

We own, or have explicit consent or are the licensee of all intellectual property rights on our site, and in the material published on it. These works are protected by copyright laws and agreements around the world. All such rights are reserved. You must not reproduce or use any of the materials on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors, unless part of any agreement you have made with us in using our site. You can print copies, and download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on our site. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any media out of context. The authors of material on our site must always be acknowledged. When you search and or register a domain name with LowReg, you are obliged to familiarise yourself with and agree to the terms and conditions that Nominet set out for domain registration, taking note of within those terms of the DRS Policy and DRS Procedure. Registrant Data Quality Compliance Terms

When registering a UK domain through LowReg, the data you use to create an account, will be used to match your billing data provided, and the data used to register any subsequent domains, furthermore, the data provided can not be changed once created without the permission and intervention of LowReg. You agree to supply us with a verifiable registrant name and address and agree to liase with LowReg to correct any mistakes, and supply proof when required to do so to help Lowreg validate your data. Should you have made a mistake, please send your corrected address details and one of these proofs, For individuals; Driving Licence, Valid ID for non UK residents (for .uk a verifiable UK service address must be used), HMRC Tax Notification(dated last 3 months), Utility Bill(dated last 3 months), Bank Statement(dated last 3 months). For Businesses; Bank Statement(dated last 3 months), HMRC Tax Notification(dated last 3 months), Utility Bill(dated last 3 months), Company letterhead, Official Company Stamp/Seal. We reserve the right should we not be able to verify your given details to use third party resources such as the electoral role and for businesses, to check with companies house or business directories to enable us to correctly and quickly verify your registrant data.

DATA QUALITY is at the heart of what we do at LowReg, this contributes to the security of the UK namespace, and allows the relevant authorities to act quickly to protect the public should they need to. Should we not be able to validate any data that we feel needs secondary examination and has set off other alerts, we reserve the right to place a Registrar Data Quality Lock on the domain contact, this will suspend the domain and any other domains associated to the contact. In the event of Nominet contacting us regarding invalid data, we will immediately place a Data Quality Lock on the domain or domain contact. LowReg reserves the right when data validation has failed to delete the contact and all domains associated in line with Nomninet's terms of use and data policy.


LowReg do not allow the registration through its services of any domain that is done so with the sole intent of causing another person or body harm, be that threatening, offensive, illegal or trademark infringing. Should you breach these terms or violate any of nominets terms, you agree for LowReg to lock at their discretion any said domain, and if needed report serious abuse to Nominet and the relevant authorities. Should LowReg receive information with suspected abuse, we will endevour to contact you to discuss the matter and resolve any abuse complaint that we receive. Complaints Procedure

Should you have any complaint about LowReg please contact us via the contact form on our web site or email complaints@lowreg.co.uk and we will reply within 24 hours. Should your complaint not be dealt with to your complete satisfaction, we ask that you again email and state as to why you are not happy and what we can do to make you happy. Your complaint is dealt with from the beginning by the highest level, giving you the assurance that it will be looked at carefully and considered failry. Lowreg is fully committed to being an ethical UK registrar and welcomes any suggestions as to how it can improve always.

Variation of our terms

We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page each time you access our web site to take notice of any changes we may have made, as they are binding on you.
